Giving Back
Instead of receiving an honorarium, guest speakers choose a charity or nonprofit for our group to give to. Last year, Newcomers made donations to Friends of the Georgetown Library, Blue Santa, Living Grace Canine Ranch, Georgetown Library, Preservation Georgetown, Lady Bird Wildflower Center and We Are Not Broken.
Note: Newcomers will follow the GISD policy for school cancellations and late starts. If GISD schools are cancelled, the Newcomers meeting will be cancelled.
All meetings will be held on the 1st Thursday at Wellspring United Methodist Church, 6200 Williams Drive, Georgetown at 9:30 for social time, with meetings starting at 10:00 unless otherwise noted.
